Opening Glee
$7,500.00
Opening Glee is an orchestral, theatrical composition celebrating the kinetic vitality of performance, dance, and music. A male performer in a sharp blue coat bends backward dynamically while playing an instrument, his body connected via sweeping calligraphic ribbons of light to a female dancer leaping in a radiant yellow gown. Behind them, stylized architectural arches and indigenous ornamental glyphs glow in stained-glass tones of magenta, violet, amber, and deep aubergine. A third figure rises within the central sunlit halo, evoking transformation and euphoria. The canvas pulses with rhythmic energy, celebrating African stage performance, operatic joy, and cultural expression.
