Be Still
$7,500.00
Be Still is an arresting, tactile exploration of inner peace, regal poise, and transcendent spiritual calm. Constructed entirely through a dense, labyrinthine web of thread-like fiber coils, the relief portrait emerges out of deep shadow into luminous, silvery highlights. The subject—a woman adorned in a traditional gele (head wrap)—gazes forward with serene composure, anchored by a touch of warm pigment on the lips that breathes vitality into the monochromatic field. The physical layering of tangled medium evokes the intricate web of human thought, life experiences, and resilient grace, creating a piece that commands silent contemplation.
